So after matchday one in Group A of the Champions League,  Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, FC Basel and Ludogorets all have one point each.

In one of the games of the night at Parc Des Princes, Arsenal ended up snatching a point from a game that they really should have lost in all honesty.

With Edinson Cavani opening the scoring for Unai Emery’s men in just 45 seconds, it was the worst possible start for Arsene Wenger’s men.

And in all honesty, it took way over 45 minutes for Arsenal to truly click into gear with Gunners stars often wasteful in possession while gifting chances to PSG’s frontline.

Had it not been for cup goalkeeper David Ospina’s heroics in the second-half, the scoreline truly could’ve got ugly for Arsenal who have seemingly been playing with the brakes on so far this term.

Fortunately enough for the North London side, a late Alexis Sanchez strike managed to salvage a point in what was ultimately a good result given the fact this was definitely Arsenal’s hardest group game.

So today This Is Futbol are reflecting on the game while listing the FIVE major takeaways from the fixture.
