He never played a first team game for Chelsea but Thorgan Hazard may re-sign for the Blues should Antonio Conte’s men make use of a buy-back clause by December, report Bild.

The German publication claims Eden Hazard’s brother currently boasts a buy-black clause in his Borussia Monchengladbach contract whereby Chelsea can trigger his return for just £12.9 million.

For any deal to take place, the Stamford Bridge outfit would have to agree a deal before December 31st however with the clause expiring after that date.

On the Blues’ books between 2012 and 2015 while never representing the club’s first team, Hazard has been a player reinvented for Gladbach with three goals in as many Bundesliga appearances so far this season.

Chelsea have earned a reputation for bringing former employees back to West London in the case of Nemanja Matic, Jose Mourinho and David Luiz in recent years but a Hazard return does look a long shot right now.

This is due to the player being content in his surroundings at Borussia-Park right now, claiming: “I signed a contract here because I want to play here.

“I’m not wasting a single thought on Chelsea, and am totally focused on my job here. Borussia will help with my goals.”
