Although Arsenal supporters were pleased with earning a point away at PSG last night, one Gunners star believes their performance left a lot to be desired.

In comments to BT Sport following the full-time whistle, Gunners captain Laurent Koscielny reiterated how Arsenal cannot afford to keep starting games slow.

“I think it’s a good point but we came here with our ambition and we wanted to have the three points, but when we start like this it’s difficult to play.

“Maybe in the final third we didn’t find the good ball to score, but we came back.”

The Gunners started the game in the worst fashion possible, conceding an Edinson Cavani header from an exquisite Serge Aurier cross after just 45 seconds.

Fortunately enough for Arsene Wenger’s men, Alexis Sanchez levelled up the scores late in the second-half with stand-in goalkeeper David Ospina having kept Arsenal in the game with a string of impressive stops.

Having racked up seven points from four games at the start of the new Premier League campaign, Arsenal have won their last two fixtures back-to-back but there is no denying that their performances are far from top gear right now.

Only just overcoming Southampton at the weekend courtesy of a last gasp Santi Cazorla spot kick, Koscielny is under no illusions that Arsenal need to be far more productive in the entire 90 minutes.

“During the game against Southampton in the Premier League we slept and we need to change this in the future. We need to be strong from the first minute to the end,” continued the French international.
