He’s been the subject of intense links with Barcelona of late but the Spanish giants will have to shift one of their current stars before making a move for Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin, report the Daily Star.

According to Spanish publication Don Balon, Barcelona won’t be securing any transfer for Bellerin before they manage to offload current right back Aleix Vidal.

The 27-year-old signed for the Camp Nou outfit in June 2015 but like Arda Turan, had to wait until January of this year to make his La Liga debut for the club due to a transfer embargo placed upon Luis Enrique’s side.

Only yesterday, it was reported that Arsenal had slapped a £38.6 million price tag on Bellerin’s head with Barcelona having already made their interest in the Spanish international clear.

Having started all of the Gunners’ Premier League fixtures so far this season, there has been no word from Arsenal or the player himself about the speculation as yet but he’s previously mentioned that he’s content in North London.

As for Vidal, Luis Enrique has only started the former Sevilla man once this term while leaving him out of the squad for the last three successive games.

With the Daily Star’s report claiming that both unfit players and even a third choice goalkeeper were selected ahead of Vidal in Enrique’s matchday squad, it appears Barcelona are getting ready to offload the one-cap Spanish star.
