Bastian Schweinsteiger
Perhaps the most obvious one, but if recent Twitter statement (below) is anything to go by then perhaps it won’t happen.
Still, after the arrival of Paul Pogba, there doesn’t seem to be much of a need at Manchester United for an ageing, immobile central midfielder – there probably wasn’t going to be much of a need for that anyway under Jose Mourinho.
But if United want to get rid of a player on a big wage bill, then Schweinsteiger is a player they should look to offload, and although fans will be disappointed that Schweinsteiger didn’t turn into the player they thought he would for the club, they probably won’t be too unhappy to see him leave.
