James McCarthy has had ample opportunity to impress at Everton, and he has failed to do so.
He has looked good in bursts, but given the opportunities that he was given under Roberto Martinez; he has largely looked uncomfortable in the heart of the Everton midfield.
If Everton can get a decent price for him, he should go.
He won’t get a spot in the first-team ahead of Barry and Gueye.
