Alex Manninger

Perhaps the most bizarre, as well as understated signing of the transfer window, was the arrival of former Arsenal stopper Alex Manninger.

Having left the Gunners for obscurity in 2002, the now 39-year-old has returned to life in England to backup the likes of Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius.

With the latter injured and the former under scrutiny, the Austrian could be handed the gloves.
