Paul Pogba
Probably the best anchoring midfielder playing in Europe at the moment, and that’s saying something considering the competition. The boy is playing at Juventus at the moment and whilst he wouldn’t be cheap – Manchester United are hovering with an £80 million offer, for a guy they let go of on a free only a handful of years ago – I wonder that he’s not better suited to the Arsenal line-up. He would be a stand-out there, and they could build the team around him for years to come. It’s incredible to think that this guy has a whole career still out in front of him; he’s one of the most talked about players on the continent and has been for a couple of years now, but it took the full exposure of the Euros to show many what they were missing.
It’s hard to imagine a signing that would do more to spark acclaim amongst the Gunners faithful, and a renewed sense of purpose for the whole club, than a signing like this.
