According to reports from The Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have beaten a number of their Premier League rivals to the signing of former Manchester City youngster Diego Lattie.
The Merseyside outfit reportedly jumped at the chance to sign the right-back after it emerged that he hadn’t been offered a new contract at the Etihad, despite a strong record with England at youth level.

Indeed, the defender has represented the Three Lions’ U17 squad on four occasions since his debut against Italy in August and his availability attracted interest from a host of Premier League clubs.
Liverpool Echo claim Aston Villa, Everton, Manchester United, Norwich, Stoke City and Sunderland were all in the race for Lattie’s signature.
But the 16-year-old is a boyhood Liverpool fan and wasted no time in choosing a transfer to Merseyside, signing a three-year contract with the Anfield outfit. Lattie has already started training with the Reds’ U16 squad but will be promoted to their U18 side for pre-season.
