According to London Evening Standard, Slaven Bilic has confirmed West Ham are ‘close’ to securing a transfer deal for Valencia’s Toni Martinez; whilst Mirror Football report that Marcos Rojo will be a ‘big-name’ casualty at Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
The 18-year-old has made eight appearances for the La Liga outfit’s UEFA Youth League this season, scoring one and setting up three more, and has been capped for Spain at U19 level. It was revealed earlier this week that West Ham are working on a £2.4million deal to sign the prodigious forward, and manager Slaven Bilic has now confirmed that the potential transfer is close to completion.

Speaking at today’s pre-match press conference ahead of West Ham’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday, the Irons gaffer told reporters; “With Toni Martinez at Valencia, we are quite close. If we finish [the deal], we will have one of the brightest young players from Valencia.”
Meanwhile, Mirror Football claim that Manchester United will listen to offers for Marcos Rojo during the summer transfer window, regardless of whether Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho or someone else is in the Old Trafford hot seat.
The Argentina international sealed a transfer to Old Trafford with impressive displays at the 2014 World Cup but has since struggled for both fitness and form, going on to register just 39 appearances across all competitions – including only eight outings in the Premier League so far this season.
Earlier this week, Rojo revealed that he plans to return to Argentinean football when his Old Trafford contract expires in 2019. But United won’t give him that long and are ready to axe the underperforming 26-year-old during the coming transfer window.
