Ignacio Camacho

According to Mirror Football, Liverpool could sign midfield target Ignacio Camacho for just £4million during the summer transfer window; whilst TeamTalk report that West Ham are close to sealing a deal for Ipswich Town’s Sam Ford.

Liverpool are already planning to hold talks with Malaga regarding the 25-year-old at the end of the season, viewing him as an ideal signing to add some much-needed protection in front of their back four. The La Liga enforcer has averaged an impressive 3.2 tackles and 3.4 interceptions per match this term, helping Malaga claim the third-best goals conceded record throughout the division.

Bleacher Report, who broke the story earlier this week, initially speculated Malaga’s ongoing financial troubles could see them surrender the Spaniard for as little as £7million. But Mirror Football claim the La Liga outfit are so desperate for cash that they could offload Camacho to Anfield for even less at just £4million – half of his official buyout fee.

Meanwhile, TeamTalk report that West Ham are on the verge of signing Ipswich Town youngster Sam Ford, who has been on trial with the Hammers since January. The 17-year-old has clearly made an impression in East London, scoring at U18 and U21 level, and it appears Slaven Bilic’s side are now on the verge of agreeing a permanent move from Portman Road.

The story is yet to be picked up by the national press but has also been reported by TWTD – a popular Ipswich Town blog.
