Daniel Sturridge

According to the Brentwood Gazette, West Ham are planning a shock swoop for crocked Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge; whilst The Sun report that Everton could sign Chelsea youngster Bertrand Traore on loan.

The England international has bagged 44 goals in 72 appearances for the Reds, including 37 strikes in the Premier League. But he’s managed just 17 league outings over the last 18 months due to injuries and has clocked up only 106 minutes of playing time since Jurgen Klopp took the Anfield reins in October.

According to reports from earlier this month, the Liverpool boss has run out of patience with the 26-year-old and would consider selling for around £25million. The Brentwood Gazette now claim West Ham are preparing a bid worth slightly less at £18million, amid injuries to strikers Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho.

Meanwhile, The Sun report that Chelsea are willing to let youngster Bertrand Traore join Everton on loan for the rest of the season. The Burkina Faso international bagged 14 goals and five assists in 33 Eredivisie appearances whilst on loan at Vitesse Arnhem last term but has struggled to break into the Blues’ first-team squad since returning to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

He’s registered just three appearances across all competitions and the Blues are resultantly prepared to let him spend the rest of the campaign at Goodison Park. Roberto Martinez is reportedly very keen on the 20-year-old but remains concerned that John Stones’ future could be brought up in negotiations.
