According to The Daily Star, Arsenal have agreed a £23million fee for Everton target Andriy Yarmolenko; whilst The Newcastle Chronicle report that Liverpool are monitoring Newcastle United youngster Freddie Woodman.

The Ukranian international has bagged 106 goals in 282 appearances for Dynamo Kiev, including 13 strikes across all competitions this season, and is no stranger to the Premier League’s rumour columns as one of the biggest talents outside of Europe’s five leading top flights.

Liverpool notoriously courted the 26-year-old in consecutive transfer windows whilst recent reports have suggested Merseyside rivals Everton are keen to bring him to Goodison Park this month, amid rumours of a £21million bid.

But according to The Daily Star – who cite Ukranian publication Sport – title chasers Arsenal have now agreed a £23million fee for the 6 foot 2 winger-forward. However, there is no guarantee the Gunners will secure a deal before the January transfer window slam shut on Monday.

Meanwhile, The Newcastle Chronicle report that Liverpool are monitoring Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.

No.1 Simon Mignolet signed a five-year contract extension at Anfield earlier this month but the tabloids appear to believe the Reds are still in the market for another goalkeeper – recently linking them to Leicester City’s Kasper Schmeichel and Barcelona’s Marc-Andre Ter Stegen – whilst summer signing Adam Bogdan has failed to convince as the Belgium international’s understudy.

And The Chronicle now claim the Merseyside outfit are watching the Magpies’ third-choice goalkeeper Freddie Woodman, who is yet to make his competitive debut for the Tynesiders but has represented England 31 times at youth international level.

Liverpool have been alerted by the fact the 18-year-old is yet to sign a new contract with Newcastle, whilst father and former trainer Andy Woodman left the club in the summer to join Alan Pardew at Crystal Palace. Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton have also been linked with the 6 foot 1 shot-stopper in the past.
