According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United have been scouting Benfica youngster Renato Sanches; whilst ESPN report that Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has been linked with a move to the MLS.

Sanches is just 18 years of age and broke into Benfica’s first team in October, going on to bag two goals in eight Primeira Liga outings. He also boasts an impressive 40 caps for Portugal across the junior levels, ranging from the U15s to the U19s.

According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United scouted the midfielder again on Saturday after running the rule over him during a 4-1 win over Nacional last Monday as well. Representatives from Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Swansea City were also spotted keeping tabs on the teenage prodigy, whose contract reportedly includes a £58.8million release clause.

Meanwhile, ESPN report that Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard could be in line for a move to the MLS.

Colorado Rapids traded their No.1 Clint Irwin to FC Toronto on Monday, amid reported interest in the Toffees servant, and have secured top spot in the MLS Player Allocation Ranking – meaning they’re first in line to bring a big-money name to the American league.

The Team USA centurion is into his tenth campaign with Everton, amassing over 400 appearances across all competitions, but has been criticised for underwhelming performances during the last 18 months and manager Roberto Martinez recently refused to confirm whether he would be at Goodison Park next season.

The 2016 MLS season kicks off in March.
