According to The Telegraph, Real Madrid are targeting Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane; whilst The Daily Mail reports that Chelsea are continuing to track Barcelona starlet Xavi Simons.

During a mesmerising 2015 that started with a brace against Chelsea on New Year’s Day, the Spurs striker netted the most times of any Premier League player – with an eight-goal margin over nearest rival Sergio Aguero.

The Telegraph claim the 22-year-old’s exceptional form has caught an admirer in Real Madrid, who are approaching an ‘era of rebuilding’ as all-time top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo looks set to move onto pastures new.

Rather than giving a time frame on Los Blancos’ interest, the British newspaper simply document the England international as a long-term transfer target – whilst ruling out the chance of any move to the Bernabeu in January.

Meanwhile, The Daily Mail report that Chelsea are continuing to track Barcelona’s twelve-year-old prodigy Xavi Simons, after seeing an approach for the midfielder rejected in 2014.

Father Regillio Simons, a retired Eredivisie striker, told The Mail; “Agents are everywhere. Even at a younger age they were starting to approach me making offers for Xavi, asking to be his agents, offering shoes and contracts and money like you can’t imagine.”

“We have spoken to Chelsea and you know it’s going to be good money at Chelsea. Agents approach me to say they are working for English clubs or Spanish clubs. It can’t touch me. I’m not someone who will be starry-eyed.

“We don’t need any of that just now. We are trying to keep them away, in a polite way. Xavi‘s development is the most important thing. We want him in the right surroundings. Even if we need to move, it is the development that’s important. Not the money.”
