According to The Sun, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is close to agreeing a new contract; whilst The Daily Star report that Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has snubbed a summer move to Manchester United.

Le Professeur’s current deal is set to expire at the end of next season, marking 21 years since he first took the Arsenal hot seat way back in 1996.

The Frenchman has refused to confirm whether he will look to extend his stay in north London beyond 2017, but The Sun claim he’s now close to agreeing a new contract after being revitalised by the club’s impressive title charge this season – currently boasting top spot in the Premier League table.

An announcement on Wenger’s future is due in the summer but having sought to restructure the club’s scouting network in recent weeks, the majority of those working inside the Emirates now reportedly expect him to stay on.

Meanwhile, The Daily Star report that Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has snubbed a summer move to Manchester United – and not for the first time.

A Champions League and World Cup-winning striker, famed for his blend of industriousness, versatility and firepower, the German international is indisputably one of the leading forward talents in world football. He’s bagged 21 goals across all competitions already this season.

Despite recently signing a new contract until 2o21, The Daily Star claim United have refused to give up their interest in the 26-year-old after seeing a series of bids rejected last summer and are prepared to offer him a £300k per week contract to move to Old Trafford.

However, the move appears to be a non-starter with Bayern refusing to sell and Muller reportedly ‘snubbing’ the Red Devils’ advances.
