According to The Guardian, Liverpool have completed the signing of Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic; whilst The Daily Star claim Roma want to extend Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny’s stay at the Stadio Olympico.
The 18-year-old prodigy, often compared to Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic due to his imposing 6 foot 3 frame, agreed personal terms with the Merseyside outfit in December.
But the £5.1million transfer has now been officially completed, according to The Guardian, making the Serbia U21 Jurgen Klopp’s first ever signing as Liverpool manager – although he will be loaned back to Red Star until the end of the season.

The German gaffer told the club’s official website; “We’re very pleased because Marko is a big talent and we’ve seen him a lot of times. To describe him, I would say he’s a tall boy but quick and good at technical things. He can play passes and can dribble. But he is young, so he has to develop.”
Meanwhile, The Daily Star – who cite Sky Sports Italia – claim Roma are hoping to extend Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny’s stay at the Stadio Olympico.
The Poland international joined Giallorossi on a season-long loan during the summer in the wake of Petr Cech’s £10million arrival from Chelsea and has gone on to register 19 appearances across all competitions – including six outings in the Champions League.
Sporting director Walter Sabbatini wants to open talks with the Gunners over the 25-year-old’s future, with the view to extending his loan by another year or agreeing a permanent move.
