The 34-year-old made 28 outings for Nerazzurri last season but has now agreed to terminate his contract, having failed to register a single appearance in any competition since Roberto Mancini was appointed San Siro boss during the summer.
According to The Daily Mail, Vidic is now mulling over a move to America ahead of the new MLS season – which kicks off in March.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports report that Arsenal are closing in on the signings of Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze.
The teenage duo were both part of the Nigeria U17 side that lifted the World Cup in Chile last year and the former was linked with an Emirates switch immediately following the tournament.
Sky Sports believe the Gunners have won the race for their signatures despite Nwakali’s brother, Chidiebere, currently plying his trade with Premier League rivals Manchester City.
