According to reports from The Express, Chelsea have rejoined the race to sign in-demand West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino.
The Blues were heavily linked with the Burundi-born forward, who netted 14 times in 38 appearances last season, in the build-up to the January transfer window. But reports of their interest have waned in recent weeks, allowing other potential suitors to take centre-stage.

But the latest reports from The Express put Chelsea back in the frame to sign the former England U21 after interim manager Guus Hiddink admitted that the reigning champions are short on firepower.
As quoted by The Express, the Dutchman said; “We are short of options. I hope they [Diego Costa and Loic Remy] will both stay fit. I would be concerned if either picked up another injury.
“We are thinking about the situation. We have to have good competition, double occupation in every position. We must not go into the dangerous situation when something happens with one of the two strikers.”
