The Next Nemanja Matic - Marko Grujic

According to The Daily Mail, Nemanja Matic is considering leaving Chelsea at the end of the season; whilst talkSPORT report that the Blues are preparing a £50million bid for Everton’s John Stones.

Matic was described as a ‘monster’ by Jose Mourinho last season and featured in all but two of the Blues’ league fixtures as they claimed the Premier League title.

But the Serbian international has drastically struggled for form this season and after being hauled off against Everton last weekend, feels that he may need a change of clubs to rekindle his prior form.

Team-mates reportedly believe he’s already decided to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season but the 27-year-old could be convinced to stay depending on who takes the managerial reins from interim gaffer Guus Hiddink.

Meanwhile, talkSPORT report that Chelsea are preparing a fresh bid for Everton defender John Stones. The Blues saw three bids turned down last summer, the last and most lucrative believed to be worth £38million, and are ready to revive their interest in the 21-year-old.

talkSPORT claim the west London outfit will try to land the England international before the end of the January transfer window with a £50million bid – which would set a new record transfer fee for both an England player and a Premier League defender.

However, Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has insisted none of the club’s top talents – including Stones – will be allowed to leave Goodison Park this month. As quoted by Four Four Two, he said in today’s press conference; “None of our young players who have been performing well will leave in January – January is not a window to bring instability.”
