No.10 - Mesut Ozil

According to reports from talkSPORT, Napoli are targeting Manchester United youngster Guillermo Varela, whilst The Express claim Arsenal are in talks with Mesut Ozil over a new contract.

The Uruguayan was David Moyes’ first signing as Old Trafford boss in summer 2013 but has only recently broken into the United first team, making his debut in a scoreless draw with West Ham earlier this month and starting at right-back in defeats to Wolfsburg and Bournemouth.

Citing Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport, talkSPORT claim Napoli will look to capitalise on the 22-year-old’s uncertain relationship with the Red Devils’ senior squad by launching a bid in the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, The Express report that Arsenal have opened contract talks with star midfielder Mesut Ozil, who has amassed a whopping two goals and 13 assists in 15 Premier League outings this season.

The new deal will see the German World Cup winner take home £180k per-week over four-and-a-half-years – working out at an incredible £51.5million in total.
