According to reports from The Daily Mail, Manchester United are monitoring highly-rated Everton youngster Joe Williams.
The 19-year-old midfielder is yet to feature for the Toffees’ senior string but remains an integral member of their U21 squad, having initially joined the club’s academy ranks when he was just seven years of age.

According to The Mail, a number of clubs have watched Williams extensively this season as his performances continue to earn rave reviews, but Manchester United are the most interested in taking him off the Mersey outfit’s hands.
The Red Devils are keen to improve the quality of their youth teams, fearing that Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester City now dominate the academy scene in England.
Everton, however, will be desperate to hold onto Williams and The Mail claim they could resultantly offer him an improved contract to fend off interest, with his current terms set to expire at the end of next season.
