Blaise Matuidi

According to The Daily Mail, Barcelona have been scouting Arsenal youngster Emile Smith-Row; whilst The Daily Star report that Chelsea could sign PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi for £30million.

Emile Smith-Rowe represented England U16s during last week’s Nike International Tournament in the USA and The Daily Mail claim Barcelona used the competition to take a closer look at the promising 15-year-old.

The teenage winger has been compared to Mesut Ozil and is highly-rated throughout the Emirates set-up, having already represented the Gunners at U18 level.

They’re set to offer Smith-Rowe a new long-term deal, but Barcelona’s interest could persuade him to leave the club for the glamorous allure of the Nou Camp.

Meanwhile, The Daily Star – citing French publication BuzzSport – claim that PSG are resigned to losing midfield enforcer Blaise Matuidi, with Chelsea known long-term admirers of the industrious 28-year-old.

The Ligue 1 champions would be prepared to sell for a fee upwards of £30million, but the France international is unlikely to push for a move in the January transfer window with Euro 2016 on his home soil just around the corner.
