According to reports from Don Balon via The Metro, Arsenal want to bring former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez back to the Premier League.
The Mexico international netted 59 goals in 157 appearances during his four full campaigns at Old Trafford – reaching double figures in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons. But he was loaned to Real Madrid during Louis van Gaal’s first transfer window as United boss and sold to Bayer Leverkusen a year later in a £7.3million deal.

The former super-sub has flourished since becoming a regular starter at the Bay Arena- practically for the first time since moving to European football from Guadalajara in 2010 – bagging ten goals in the Bundesliga and five in the Champions League. He also claimed the German top flight’s Player of the Month award for November.
Don Balon claim that amid Arsenal’s search for added firepower, Chicarito has become an increasingly appealing option, likely due to his prominent form and prior experience in the Premier League. The Metro allege the 27-year-old is now the Gunners’ ‘priority target for the January transfer window’ – but the Spanish publication suggest a summer deal is more likely.
