Isco (2)

According to reports from The Daily Star, Arsenal are readying a £35million January bid for Chelsea and Liverpool target Isco.

The 23-year-old has registered 124 appearances since joining the Real Madrid ranks from Malaga in summer 2013, netting 20 times and helping them claim the 2014 Champions League title in the process.

But his status in the starting Xi is often dependent upon the fitness of Los Blanco’s more coveted names, evident enough as he was forced to accept featuring from the bench in last month’s El Clasico despite starting Real’s three previous fixtures.

Arsenal and Chelsea have been tipped to take the Spain international off the Bernabeu outfit’s hands for some time, whilst Manchester City are known long-term admirers and The Daily Star document interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool.

But it appears the Gunners are proving the most proactive in the race for Isco’s signature as they prepare a £35million bid for the January transfer window.

The playmaking midfielder is seen as a signing who would add quality and depth to Arsenal’s squad, following injuries to Jack Wilshere, Francis Coquelin, Tomas Rosicky and Santi Cazorla.
