According to reports from Calcio Mercato, Arsenal and Chelsea are both targeting Inter Milan star Marcelo Brozovic ahead of the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old was on Arsenal’s radar last season but were beaten to his signature by Nerazzurri, who signed Brozovic on an 18-month loan deal with a €8million option to buy in January.
His impressive form since has convinced the Gunners to revive their interest, but Premier League Chelsea are also courting the 14-cap Croatian international – whilst Everton and Borussia Dortmund are considered long-term admirers.
Brozovic is valued by Zagreb at around €15million, but convincing Inter Milan to surrender their aforementioned option to buy could require a €20million bid in total – which works out at around £14.5million.
However, agreeing extended terms with Roberto Mancini’s side is still an option for the 5 foot 11 midfielder, who has scored two goals in 24 Serie A appearances for Inter – including a goal during a two-minute substitute outing against Frosinone last month.
