According to reports from The Daily Record, Manchester City and Manchester United are keeping tabs on goalkeeper Josh Donaldson, currently on trial at Arsenal.
The 15-year-old currently plies his trade with Dundee United following prior spells with Hearts and Rangers, but looks set to make the switch to English football with a number of Premier League sides interested.
Indeed, Donaldson is currently on loan with the Gunners but remains closely watched by Premier League title rivals Manchester City, whilst Manchester United and Leicester City are also keeping tabs on the youngster’s progress.
Bizarrely, however, Donaldson was overlooked for the latest Scotland U16 squad that took part in the Victory Shield. The teenage shot-stopper’s Premier League suitors are most surprised, considering he represented Scotland six times at U15 level and claimed the Man of the Match award during his debut against Switzerland.
But that will prove of little consequence to Donaldson’s development should his Arsenal trial prove successful or one of his other Premier League admirers offer him an academy contract instead.
