According to reports from The Chronicle, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are all targeting Newcastle United’s prodigious striker Ayoze Perez ahead of the January transfer window.
The 22 year-old moved to Tyneside in summer 2014, at a cost of £1.5million, after netting 17 goals in 50 league appearances for Tenerife – allegedly snubbing interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona in the process.
He’s gone on to bag ten goals in 46 Premier League appearances – including the sole strike in a vital win against Bournemouth on Saturday – and build a reputation as one of the most exciting strike prospects in the division.
Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and four more clubs were reportedly targeting the Spain U21 during the summer, whilst Manchester United were linked last month and The Chronicle allege serious interest from Liverpool as well – at least prior to the appointment of Jurgen Klopp.
They also claim the Red Devils have ‘complied a dossier’ on the 5 foot 10 forward – and suggest the Magpies may have to fend off bids from Liverpool, Spurs and United in the coming transfer window.
