According to a Calcio Mercato exclusive, former Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor is looking to revive his career in Italy.

The Togo international scored 96 goals in 225 appearances during his spells in the Premier League but left all three clubs on rather sour terms and certainly in the case of City and Spurs, after eating up a considerable chunk of their wage bills.

The Lilywhites finally parted company with the 31-year-old in September, cancelling his contract a year before its expiration, after he had refused the chance to leave White Hart Lane twice during the summer.

He first rejected a move to Aston Villa in July, apparently upon the advice of his pastor, and then demanded Tottenham paid the remainder of his salary to be paid in full – a £5million sum – as West Ham negotiated a deadline day deal. Unsurprisingly, the north London outfit refused.

According to Calcio Mercato, Adebayor is now looking for his next payday in Serie A. They claim agents Umberto Caramanica and Andrea Di Bella will offer the 6 foot 3 striker to all the major Italian clubs.

It would be a foolhardy move for anyone to give him any kind of contract.
So much per game for up to 3 games- renewable – would tell the tale.
