Paul Pogba

According to reports from The Daily Mail, the agent of Chelsea and Manchester City target Paul Pogba has ‘categorically’ ruled out a January move to the Premier League.

Since swapping Manchester United for Juventus by way of a free transfer in summer 2012, Pogba has emerged as one of the most complete and sought-after central midfielders in world football.

The gangly France international boasts a unique mix of physicality, trickery and netting prowess, helping fire the Old Lady to three consecutive Serie A titles with 22 goals in 102 league appearances.

Seven major European clubs were reportedly courting him during the summer, not least including Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona. In fact, the Blues are believed to have launched a bid around the £60million mark in the final week of the transfer window, but Pogba elected to stay in Turin.

And despite a number of Europe’s top clubs still circling the 22-year-old, who claimed the prestigious Golden Boy award in 2013, agent Mino Raiola has declared that Pogba will reject the chance to leave Juventus in January as well – even though the Italian champions find themselves in sixth place after 13 games and nine points off the Serie A summit.

As quoted by The Daily Mail, he told Italian outlet Mediaset Premium; “Paul is a lad who decides with his heart, and at the moment he’s focused on Juventus. I can categorically rule out a move in January. In the future we’ll see, we’ll talk at the end of July.”

Raiola, whose other noteworthy clients include PSG’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku and AC Milan goalkeeping prodigy Gianluigi Donnarumma, publicly valued Pogba at a whopping €100m earlier this season.
