According to reports from The Independent this morning, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho may have been running the rule over Ukraine winger Andriy Yarmolenko yesterday evening.
The 25 year-old boasts a potent return of 103 goals in 274 appearances for Dynamo Kiev and was in action for his country last night as they lost to Spain in the final Euro 2016 qualifier of the campaign.
He’s attracted plenty of interest from Europe’s top clubs over the last few years, with The Daily Star linking Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, Tottenham, Stoke City and even European champions Barcelona to his signature in a report from earlier this week.
They claim the Gunners are particularly keen and could move to sign the £15million-rated forward, who boasts 20 goals and 52 caps for Ukraine, when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Independent, however, speculate that Premier League champions Chelsea could soon emerge in the race to sign Yarmolenko after manager Jose Mourinho was spotted in the stands of Ukraine’s Olympic Stadium yesterday evening.
Blues stars Cesc Fabregas and Cesar Azpilicueta were in action for Spain last night but the British newspaper believe Mourinho may have been watching Yarmolenko as well.
