According to reports from The Daily Star, Arsenal are hoping to sign Anderlecht youngster Aaron Leya Iseka in January; whilst The Express report that Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race to sign Lille prodigy Sofiane Boufal.

17 year-old Iseka has only made nine senior appearances to date but has continually impressed for Anderlecht’s youth ranks. Interestingly, he’s also the younger brother of Michy Batshuayi, the Marseille assassin who was linked with Arsenal and Spurs in September.

The Star claim Arsene Wenger wants to make the 5 foot 11 striker his first January signing as an addition to the Gunners’ academy squad, fearing one of the club’s Premier League rivals could otherwise get their first.

Meanwhile, The Express report that Tottenham are considering a buy-to-loan deal for Lille star Sofiane Boufal, who has been compared with Chelsea’s PFA Player of the Year Eden Hazard – having shot to super-stardom with the French side before moving to Stamford Bridge in 2012.

Reports of a potential January bid emerged earlier this month, following rumours of a £12million offer during the summer, and The Express now claim Spurs are leading the race to sign 22 year-old.

They’re reportedly considering a £21.6million deal that would see Boufal spend the rest of the season at Stade Pierre-Mauroy before linking up with the White Hart Lane outfit next summer.
