According to reports from The Express on Sunday, Arsenal and Liverpool target Ezequiel Lavezzi is open to leaving PSG in January – but only if he receives a big offer from a European club.
The 43-cap international, who featured prominently for Argentina at last summer’s World Cup, has bagged 33 goals in 139 appearances for the Parisians, helping fire them to three consecutive Ligue 1 titles.
But his influence has waned in recent seasons, last term making just 19 stars in Ligue 1, and the £44million summer arrival of former Manchester United star Angel Di Maria has essentially left the 30 year-old surplus to requirements at Parc de Princes.
According to The Express, Arsenal, Liverpool, Inter Milan and Valencia were all interested in signing the winger-forward during the summer. Although a bid failed to materialise, they still list Lavezzi as a target of both Premier League clubs.
And the British Newspaper claim Lavezzi is now expected to leave PSG in January – but he wants a ‘big’ offer from a European club.
Potential suitors might be advised to wait until the end of the season, however, when the bosman-bound attacker will be available on a free transfer.
