According to reports from The Express this afternoon, Manchester United will launch a £20million bid for Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, should they be forced to sell David De Gea this summer.
The Spain international claimed the Player of the Year award at Old Trafford last season and was the only goalkeeper to be nominated for the Premier League’s PFA Player of the Year award. But with just a year remaining on his contract and no new deal in sight, a summer move to long-term admirers Real Madrid is becoming increasingly likely.

And according to The Express, who cite French publication L’Equipe, the Red Devils have identified Spurs No.1 Hugo Lloris as the ideal replacement for the want-away 24 year-old.
Tottenham have attempted to keep the France international’s summer suitors at bay by issuing him the captain’s armband at White Hart Lane. But the 28 year-old has made no secret of his desire to play Champions League football and may resultantly be unable to resist the allure of Old Trafford.
The British tabloid claim United have already prepared a £20million bid – but the Lilywhites value Lloris at nearly double that sum, according to reports in April.
