Man City target has agreed to join Man United but faces 12pm cut-off

Pedro - £7million

According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, summarised in English by Joe this morning, Barcelona star Pedro has made a ‘verbal agreement’ to join Manchester United.

The three-time Champions League winner, five-time La Liga winner and former World Cup and European Championship winner is widely expected to leave the Nou Camp this summer after slumping behind Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar in the pecking order last season.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been mooted as potential suitors throughout the summer whilst Manchester United have surged ahead of the pack in the last few weeks.

It’s believed they’ve already agreed personal terms with the 27 year-old but their attempts to squeeze a better price from Barcelona has lead to reports of Manchester City entering the race – who are prepared to pay his £22million release clause in full.

But according to Mundo Deportivo, via Joe, Pedro already has a ‘verbal agreement’ in place to join the Red Devils, suggesting he’ll turn down an Etihad move even if the Citizens activate his buy-out fee.

However, in order to have the Spain international involved against Aston Villa tomorrow night, United will have to complete a deal by midday today – which seems virtually impossible considering they’re still negotiating over price and Pedro will require a medical.
