According to reports from The Express this morning, Liverpool have launched a £14.7million bid for Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev.
The Russian international has spent the majority of his Bernabeu career with Real Madrid’s second string, Castilla, but impressed on loan at Villarreal last season to claim four goals and nine assists in 24 La Liga appearances.
He’s shown good form during Real Madrid’s pre-season fixtures as well but it’s believed Los Blancos are willing to sell this summer, with the 24 year-old not a significant factor in Rafa Benitez’ plans for the coming campaign.

Arsenal were mooted as potential suitors of the 5 foot 11 winger by Spanish publication AS earlier this summer, but Liverpool appear to be in pole position for his signature.
According to The Express, they’ve launched a £14.7million bid; and Spanish sources suggest the former European champions are more than likely to accept it.
Should that be the case, Cheryshev will become Liverpool’s eighth signing of the summer. You can recap the rest of their spending here.
