According to reports from The Independent this afternoon, Inter Milan have launched an £8million bid for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.
The Mexico international has just come to the end of a season-long loan at Real Madrid, where he scored nine goals in 33 appearances across all competitions – including a winning strike against Atletico Madrid in Europe, which sent the Bernabeu outfit to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
But he’s expected to be included in Louis van Gaal’s summer clear out at Old Trafford, as This Is Futbol revealed in April, with just one year remaining on his contract and a new deal seemingly unlikely.
Boasting 37 goals in 102 appearances and three campaigns of double-figures in the Premier League, however, at least three clubs are willing to take the 27 year-old off United’s hands.
Liverpool are known admirers along with West Ham, as This Is Futbol revealed in April, whilst Roberto Mancini’s Inter Milan have reportedly launched an £8million bid.
Whether the Red Devils will accept the offer remains to be seen, but it’s certainly within their valuation of the player – which is believed to be around £10million.
