Harry Kane

According to reports from Mirror Football and well… just about everybody, Manchester United are preparing a rather incredible £40million bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

No doubt, the 21 year-old has just come to the end of a fine season, emerging from the peripheries of the Spurs squad to finish the campaign as the Premier League’s top scoring Englishman – not to mention netting just seconds into his England debut against Lithuania in March – and claim the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

But £40million? For a striker with just 24 goals and 45 Premier League appearances under his belt? It’s hardly a transfer that represents good value for money.

And to prove the Red Devils’ fortunes could be better spent elsewhere, This Is Futbol have listed SEVEN genuine world-class stars (we know that term gets bandied around a little but these lads are the real deal) United could sign for equal to or less than Kane’s apparent £40million valuation.

Great!!! Go and sign someone else who’s world class and cheaper and stop trying to turn Kanes head in utds direction……..

      Exactly.
You’ll notice that originally the figure United sanctioned their tapper-upper legions in the press to bandy around was £50 million. All of a sudden it was £40 million – and they all get the record straight within a day = LoL.

What amazes me is that despite it being a fact that Real Madrid had Kane watched, and despite it being a fact that Citeh need home-grown players, can outbid United and would be more acceptable to Levy and Spurs fans if Kane were to be force-purchased (and that’s not very acceptable, just more than United due to Berbatov-Gate), not one of these media outlets, not even the click-baiters, has ever suggested anyone else could, should or would sign Kane. Clear evidence IMHO that they are being dictated to centrally, as United’s tapper-uppers in chief, in a coordinated campaign to unsettle and force-purchase another team’s player!

Now, specific to this article, we don’t care how much or how little you pay for any other player in that position, but Harry Kane is not for sale. He has stated several times that he has no interest in leaving, and his Head Coach and Chairman have stated publicly that he is not for sale. How much more of a hint do you want?
