The 2014/15 Premier League campaign comes to a close this weekend and This Is Futbol are very concerned about how we’ll cope without the English top flight for the next two months.

But before the withdrawal symptoms truly kick in, there’s the final day of the season to look forward to.

There might not be too much to play for with Chelsea already crowned Premier League champions and two of the relegation places, QPR’s and Burnley’s, decided a few weeks ahead of schedule, but Hull City and Newcastle’s scrap for survival throws up an enthralling final day scenario.

The Tigers need a win against Manchester United – a club former captain Steve Bruce has never beaten throughout his management career – to stand any chance of staying up, whilst the Magpies require a draw against West Ham to cement their fate but have claimed just one point from their last ten fixtures.

Likewise, the final day of the season tends to throw up a few surprises. Who remembers the 5-5 draw with West Bromwich Albion during Sir Alex Ferguson’s last game in charge at Manchester United? Or Mthe legendary finale to Manchester City’s 2011/12 title bid, with a stunning 3-2 win over QPR?
