Christian Benteke

According to reports from Mirror Football this morning, a four-way battle has emerged for the services of Aston Villa star Christian Benteke.

The Belgium international has been in sensational form since Tim Sherwood took Villa Park’s managerial reigns from Paul Lambert in February, claiming eleven goals and one assist in his last ten appearances across all competitions – bringing his total for the Birmingham outfit to 48 goals in 97 outings.

The Villains boss has admitted the 24 year-old force a move away this summer – as This Is Futbol revealed last month – with a £30million figure later emerging in the tabloids – as reported by This Is Futbol.

And Mirror Football claim that’s attracted interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Roma, who are all considering meeting Villa’s valuation of the 6 foot 3 front-man.

Liverpool and Manchester United are both expected to reshuffle their struggling strike-forces in the coming transfer window, whilst Chelsea may have to replace the ageing Didier Drogba.
