According to reports from The Express this morning, the expected sacking of Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti could have an immediate impact on Gareth Bale’s future at the Bernabeu.
The former AC Milan, Chelsea and PSG boss lead Los Blancos to their first European title for over a decade last season, also making him the first manager to win three Champions League titles since the tournament’s incarnation in 1992.
But he’s widely expected to be given his marching orders by club president Florentino Perez this summer, with Real coming up short in their last two La Liga campaigns and now eliminated from the Champions League at the hands of Juventus.
According to The Express, that spells bad news for Gareth Bale. Ancelotti is one of his few remaining supporters at the Bernabeu, whilst Perez is more than likely to adhere to the wishes of the fans during the summer. Currently, the majority seem to want the Welshman gone.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all reportedly planning to bring the 25 year-old back to the Premier League in the coming window, where he netted 21 times in his final campaign for Tottenham Hotspur.
But a separate report from The Express yesterday morning claimed Manchester United are currently leading the race for his signature, with an £80million bid in the pipeline.
