According to Spanish publication AS, Real Madrid are considering Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech as a potential alternative to fellow Premier League-based target David De Gea.
The Blues shot-stopper is up there with the best of the Premier League era, set to claim his fourth league title this term alongside four FA Cups and the 2012 Champions League title, but is unfortunate enough to find himself surpassed in the Stamford Bridge pecking order by the supremely talent Thibaut Courtois – despite keeping five clean sheets in five Premier League appearances this season.
Arsenal are considered to be the most interested party, but This Is Futbol informed you earlier today that Tottenham are keen to rival any offer the Gunners make this summer – should they be forced to part with their No.1 Hugo Lloris, who is currently being courted by PSG.
With Real Madrid now in the mix, that makes it three clubs keen on a deal for Cech this summer and two prepared to rival Arsenal’s interest.
Whether that results in the Gunners pursuing an alternative target or sticking with the in-form David Ospina long term remains to be seen.
