Kevin de Bruyne

According to reports from The Express this morning, Manchester City and Manchester United could land coveted target Kevin de Bruyne for just £21million this summer.

The Belgium international has emerged as one of the top talents in the Bundesliga since leaving Chelsea for Wolfsburg in January 2014, this term boasting the most assists – an incredible 17 – of any player in Europe’s five leading top flights.

That brings his total to twelve goals and 23 assists in just 44 league outings for Die Wolfe, triggering interest from the Manchester giants – as reported by talkSPORT earlier this week.

He’s been mooted with some audacious price-tags over the last few months. Wolfsburg are understandably reluctant to sell, having signed the attacking midfielder just 18 months ago.

But The Express now claim he could be available for £21million – although that would be the lowest possible figure.

As the 23 year-old’s agent, Patrick de Koster, explains; “This could be his last season at Wolfsburg. His value is higher than €30m (£21m), but you can’t take anything for granted in football.”

Meanwhile, Manchester United are reportedly planning a £37million move for Roma star Miralem Pjanic.
