According to reports from The Express yesterday evening, Hoffenheim star Roberto Firmino has dismissed the notion of a Premier League move this summer.

As This Is Futbol informed you earlier this month, Liverpool and Manchester United are both chasing the attacking midfielder, with some sources even claiming the Red Devils had already secured an £18.6million deal.

Interest in the 23 year-old has stemmed from his impressive haul of 22 goals and 19 assists in his last 60 Bundesliga appearances – which has also seen him emerge as a regular in Dunga’s plans for the Brazil squad, boasting two goals and four caps since his international debut in November.

But Firmino has now dismissed rumours claiming he’ll be moving to England this summer, instead pledging his allegiance to the Rhine Neckar Arena outfit.

“I have a contract with Hoffenheim until 2017 and I’m fine here. I grew up a lot with this club. Now I just think about Hoffenheim,” Firmino told reporters last week.

Whether recent revelations will force Liverpool and Manchester United to seek potential alternatives such as Atletico Madrid’s Koke – as This Is Futbol reported earlier today, he’s become the subject of a £22million offer from an unnamed Premier League club – remains to be seen.
