According to reports from The Metro this afternoon, La Liga outfit Valencia have emerged as rival suitors in Tottenham and Liverpool’s race for PSG star Ezequiel Lavezzi.
The Argentina international boasts 28 goals and 26 assists in 128 appearances for the French champions, winning back-to-back Ligue 1 titles with them since his arrival from Napoli in summer 2012.
The 29 year-old and manager Laurent Blanc haven’t always seen eye to eye, however; Lavezzi’s been issued just 15 league starts out of a possible 31 this season and in January received a two-match internal suspension – along with team-mate Edinson Cavani – for returning late from the mid-season break – as reported by BBC Sport.
Resultantly, the winger-forward is widely expected to move on this summer. The Metro moot Tottenham as Lavezzi’s likeliest suitors but the British tabloid also linked him with a move to Liverpool during the January transfer window.
Now, however, it’s claimed Valencia are also keen on the South American’s signature. Although PSG value him at just £10million, interest from three parties could see Lavezzi’s price-tag soar.
