Januzaj

According to reports from Manchester Evening News yesterday evening, Everton are plotting an audacious swoop for Manchester United prodigy Adnan Januzaj this summer – but interest from PSG could stand in the way.

The 20 year-old winger exploded onto the Premier League scene last season with a stunning brace against Sunderland, going on to net twice more in his 27 league outings.

His performances were so impressive that some called for him to be drafted into the England squad, amid ambiguity over who he planned to represent at international level.

But since the arrival of Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford last summer, despite the Dutchman’s reputation for nurturing young talent, Januzaj has gone on to make just eight starts in the top flight and is still waiting upon his first goal of the campaign across all competitions.

And according to MEN, Everton want to bring the Belgium international to Goodison this summer as he fears for his role in the national side.

But French champions PSG are also known admirers, and could insist upon Januzaj as part of any deal that would see Edinson Cavani move the other way. As reported by This Is Futbol, the 28 year-old has been linked with a move to Old Trafford after falling out with Laurent Blanc – and the Red Devils would be prepared to pay him £300k per-week.
