The agent of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has claimed his client is destined to join one of Europe’s top clubs, such as Premier League duo Manchester City and Manchester United – as reported by The Independent.

The Belgium international only switched agents last week but new man Mino Raiola has already made some audacious claims, including the declaration that Lukaku would still be a Chelsea player right now if he’d been his agent last summer and that the 22 year-old is a better striker than Premier League top scorer Diego Costa – despite scoring just 8 goals in comparison to the Spain international’s 19 this season.

Everton fans will be particularly concerned. Lukaku is a young, ambitious and impressionable footballer, and Raiola’s influence could see him force a move away from Goodison this summer after the 11th-placed club’s disappointing season.

Raiola, however, was quick to deny such a scenario, instead stating; “We have never said he would leave at the end of this season.

“We will see what happens in the summer, but the Everton directors don’t have to think Rom will play there for the rest of his career. Later on, he’ll play for one of world’s best teams: PSG, Manchester City, Manchester United or Bayern Munich. Big names, but nothing is impossible as Rom has great potential,” he added.
