Aubameyang has been an impressive replacement for Lewandowski.

Perhaps the biggest story in world football yesterday was Jurgen Klopp’s resignation after seven years at Borussia Dortmund – as reported by BBC Sport.

He’ll leave the Black-Yellows at the end of the season, most likely for Manchester City, and many of the Westfalen outfit’s top stars are resultantly expected to be prized by Europe’s leading clubs.

Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United, for example, have wasted no time in targeting some of Dortmund’s biggest names.

As reported by The Daily Star, the Red Devils are preparing a £25million summer bid for captain Mats Hummels, who has been linked with an Old Trafford move relentlessly over the last few years –  especially after lifting the World Cup with Germany last summer.

Meanwhile, The Metro claim Arsenal are considering a £30million bid for winger-forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who boasts an impressive 17 goals in 35 appearances this season despite Dortmund spending much of it flirting with relegation.

Whether Dortmund would let two key first team players leave in the same window as their talismanic manager, however, remains to be seen.
