Paulo Dybala
As reported by The Metro and ThisIsFutbol this morning, Arsenal officials are rumoured to be travelling to Palermo next week to thrash out a deal for the Serie A side’s prodigal striker Paulo Dybala.

The Argentine forward, dubbed by some as ‘the next Sergio Aguero’, has set the Italian top flight alight this term with an impressive twelve goals and seven assists in 27 appearances, but to sign him this summer the Gunners will have to fork out an eye-watering £28.5million.

Arsenal are amongst the richest clubs in world football, but that’s still an almighty fee to pay for a 21 year-old with just twenty goals in European football under his belt to date, after leaving Instituto de Cordoba in summer 2012 with a promising return of 17 in 40 appearances.

So being the ever-helpful bunch we are at ThisIsFutbol, and firmly aware of Arsene Wenger’s distain towards flashing the cash in the transfer market, here’s FIVE cheaper alternatives to the £28.5million-rated Dybala.

Could they soon prove better value-for-money than the Palermo prodigy?
