Angel DiMariaOf all the players currently on the Real Madrid roster, I’d argue that Angel Di Maria is one of the most underrated. I can’t understand why the Argentine winger isn’t more highly regarded. There are few more effective players in world football currently playing in his position.

Since moving to the Bernabeu, Di Maria has established himself as a regular first teamer. He’s made 137 appearances for the club over three seasons, scored 25 goals and chipped in with an incredible 53 assists. He’s known in some parts as ‘The Assist King’ and it’s easy to see why.

The man has a knack for getting into dangerous areas and has the know-how and ability to deliver a final ball when the opportunity presents itself.

With his technical grace, quick passing and expert crossing ability, Di Maria would be a perfect fit for just about any Premier League club. As luck would have it, there’s plenty of interest in the player throughout British clubs. According to The Star, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham are all interested in Real Madrid’s wily winger.

The player is believed to be concerned about his position in the Real Madrid squad with Gareth Bale incoming. I’m sure he’s talented enough to compete, but now does seem like the right time for other clubs to try and tempt him away.

Arsenal sold Gervinho to Roma earlier this year and have lost Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain for a number of months to injury. Bringing in some reinforcements in this area is beginning to look more and more necessary.

With plenty of interested parties, there’s sure to be competition for his signature. What’s more, Real Madrid won’t be looking to sell on the cheap, especially given their expenditure this summer. But Arsenal do have money to spend.

The Gunners wrapped up a couple of impressive commercial deals last season, and they’ve rid themselves of plenty of deadwood this summer. Wouldn’t it be something if the club re-invested this money on quality players like Di Maria? I know it’s not a particularly Arsene Wenger-like thing to do, but we live in hope nonetheless.

We’re all aware that the transfer window is about to slam shut. Let’s just hope that Arsene Wenger still has enough time to make a deal happen.

What’s your take? Would Angel Di Maria be a good addition for Arsenal?

i just hope their r still experienced, special, cheap signings left for arsenal, tottenham seems 2 av snapped them all, eriksen, vertoghen, capoue e.t.c i hope he signs abda turan for more creativity nd di maria 2 win big games for us,plus a striker. I hope we dont sign flops like santos, chamakh, park nd average players like michu, arteta, mertesacker nd players dat r gud but dnt av team work lyk podolski.
